The Rushing River
You breathe in cool moist air, it fills your lungs with joy and tranquillity. The towering trees are comforting giants trying to soothe you, squirrels scamper up the trees their small legs move rapidly as they disappear in the roof of this natural home. A soothing, sloshing sound fills your mind with curiosity as your place your feet on the cushion like forest floor. Magnificent leaves shining in fiery colours making natures finest art. As the sloshing sound grows louder a small bird tweets in the distance, it’s musical tune making you smile. Now in front of you a sparkling river flows to the horizon. Then a deer with chocolate brown fur skips towards the river and slowly sips the diamond water. You bend down and cup your hands, scooping up some of the water and let it gush down your throat. It tastes amazing, it’s chilling and refreshing your dry mouth and moistening your tongue. Then you dip your feet into the chilly, cooling water and you see several brightly coloured fish circling you, making you feel protected. Then you close your eyes and let the river bring you back to life…..
